Pakistan’s Leading Metal Expansion Joints Manufacturer

Innovative

Forming Technology

Metal Expansion joints by PEW

Prince Engineering Works is a leading expert manufacturer of deep convoluted bellows and expansion joints in the Pakistan and can design and manufacture bellows to suit your application. We have an expert team of designers, engineers and the manufacturing ability to produce a wide range of these bellows types. We produce bespoke metal bellows which are designed for purpose, and have manufactured up to 50% movement in bellow size.

PEW manufactures expansion joints and Deep Convoluted Bellows for numerous applications. Individually designed for each application which ensures the correct product is always supplied.  Our compensators are formed by cold-rolling knuckles on a flat ring for superior flexibility

With our in house design department utilizing 2D and 3D CAD we can design any assembly to suit your needs or the applications specification. We also offer on-site or technical visits where required.

Areas of application for Expansion Joints

  • Absorption of temperature related length alterations in pipe work systems
  • Reduction of forces and moments in connections
  • Compensation of relative motions between components
  • Moderation of oscillations and vibration
  • Compensation of assembly inaccuracies
  • Absorption of stroke movements
  • Absorption of thermal expansion
  • Compensation of parallel offset pipe

Axial movement

Axial movement is the motion which occurs parallel to the bellows axis. This movement is generally expressed as compression or shortening and extension or elongation of bellows.

Lateral movement

Lateral movement is the motion perpendicular to the centerline of bellows. It is the ability of bellows to absorb lateral deflection of bellows.

Angular movement

Angular movement is the rotation or bending of a bellows element.

PEW Manufacturing Facilities

PEW manufactures your new expansion bellows and metal bellows can be manufactured to the highest standards, in your choice of materials to meet your needs in terms of pressures, sizes, and more.

Our expansion joint fabrications offer flexibility on the axial, lateral, or angular planes, depending on your needs.

Circular, square or rectangular styles are available.

We have now manufactured up to 4000mm in Diameter with Wall thickness from 1mm up to 4mm.

We Use Following Machines for manufacturing:

  • Special Bellows Forming Machines
  • Expanding and Roll Forming
  • Automated Welding- CO2  Welding, Argon Welding, Tig Welding, Resistance Welding, Arc Welding
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication
  • Hydraulic Bending Machines

The welds in all our bellows are subjected to dye penetrant testing.

RANGE OF EXPANSION JOINTS

DEEP CONVOLUTED BELLOWS/ EXPANSION JOINTS

Deep convoluted bellows are designed to accept movements of extension and compression in the longitudinal direction. When the expansion joint compresses or extends, it causes the

whole length to either increase or decrease. The length of an expansion joint in a neutral position is called a free length.  In order to achieve more cycle life, expansion joints should be installed under pre-tense condition also known as cold pull.

SQUARE/RECTANGULAR EXPANSION JOINT

Rectangular metal expansion joints are designed to absorb movements in all three directions i.e. axial, lateral and angular.  The rectangular bellows are mostly designed for very low pressure applications such as ducts, exhaust systems, ventilation systems etc.
