With Sectional Screw Flight Design software and Ultra Adjustable forming machine we can form sectional screw flight of different specification faster, easier and in a cost effective way with no waste.

Our machine range can cover Left or right hand screw flighting from 50mm to 2000 mm(78”) diameter, up to 1000 mm(40”) pitch can be formed in a wide variety of materials thickness ranging from 1.5mm (1/16”) to 50mm(1”) giving ideal cover for a professional conveyor manufacturing company targeting across the range market segments & applications.

What are Sectional Screw Flights?

Sectional flights are formed from a flat disc with uniform thickness of thread throughout. A continuous helix is made by butt welding a number of these flights on a piece of pipe.

At Prince Engineering Works we are not systems manufacturers – we design, manufacture and supply screw flights for many purposes, including the chemical, mining and agricultural industries through to the bulk handling, digging auger and piling industries.

Our Screw Flight Manufacturing Process

Sectional Screw Flight is design in 3d Inventor then calculates the parameters of Sectional Flight by using Special Flight Blank calculating software.

Flight blanks are cut by oxy profile and plasma cutting. The type of cutting is dependent upon the material – stainless steel, light gauge material – or the shape of the flights.

After cutting the steel is shaped in one of PEW special hydraulic presses, and then supplied to the customer for fitting to pipes. Flights are snapped into place, welded to the pipe and to each other in a continuous line.

Accuracy of each and every sectional screw flight always perfect aligned and perpendicular with pipe and shafts.

The conveyor is made of steel paddles on threaded rod shanks inserted through the pipe. Conveying action is controlled by adjusting the paddle angle. Excellent for stirring, blending or mixing dry or fluid materials.

Notched and folded flights provide a more aggressive mixing action where material that passes through the notch is lifted and mixed with the trailing material. They can also be used for aerating or cooling materials.

A centerless or shaftless flight works effectively when moving sticky or large sized products. The helicoid flight is manufactured from a heavier gauge that is produced to outside diameter and pitch specifications with an open centre.
